We've had a few hiccoughs with our database and have tried to reset it so we can get some information out to you. If you had unsubscribed please accept our apologies and unsubscribe again, but if not, please read on and find out where you can taste our wines in the next couple of weeks as well as the great deal we've got on offer.

Redmetal will be attending the Hawkes Bay Wine Celebrations in Wellington and Auckland, so if you would like to come along and check out what we (oh, and a few other HB producers) are up to, we'd love to show you some of the wines and have a chat. Dates and venues below:

Saturday 17 September - Wellington - Chaffers Dock from 4:30 - 8:00pm
Saturday 24 September - Auckland - Shed 10 from 4:30 - 8:00pm

We also have a few free tickets to give away, so if you're keen, email us back and it will be first in best dressed.

In conjunction with all this we have substantially reduced our website prices across the whole range and they will stay at that level for the next couple of weeks. You don't have to attend the show to get this benefit, but it will be for a limited time. Can't guarantee we'll meet our usual 2-3 day delivery service because all of this travel plays havoc with logistics (OK, I'm just not that well organized), but we will endeavor to get all orders out within a week. And a bit. Some brief notes purloined from the website on some of the wines below:

The 2015 Merlot/Franc is flying out the door at the moment. Dark, soft and succulent, it's a hard one to beat at the price. We have also just released - in fact just bottled - the 2016 Albarino. A little richer and fatter than the 2015, this is a brilliant seafood wine as well as doing a pretty decent job as an aperitif and general thirst quencher. Also hot off the bottling line is our 2016 Rose made from Cabernet Franc. First one we've done for a couple of years and with the latest trendy pale colour along with time on yeast lees to give it a soft and creamy finish, this is a hard drink to put down. Perhaps we should have done it in magnums because the 750 mL bottles just don't seem to last very long...

If it's a complex, sweet-fruited and silky tannin red that you're looking for, the 2014 Basket Press Syrah ticks all the boxes. Recently given 5 stars by New Zealand wine writer Sam Kim, this super sexy red is drinking beautifully now but still has the legs to go another 8-10 years if your self control is in the OCD spectrum.

Hope to see you in the Big Smoke - or the Small Smoke. If not, you can still get the deals on the website.
